RAISING
Fibers on one or respectively both sides of the fabric surface are taken out softer feel on the raised side; loss of the original fabric structure; higher volume due to protruding fibers.
IMPREGNATION
Impregnation used mainly for protective clothing.Impregnation causes water-and oil resistant behavior of the fabric.
HEAVY IMPREGNATION
Water – and oil resistant impregnation;
hydraulic test; used for protective clothing with highest performance for non wetting properties.
MEMBRANE
Membranes for protective clothing (e.g. firemen) assure, that no water can penetrate the clothing from outside to inside; at the same time the membrane has good porosity, i.e. vapor (body perspiration) can penetrate through the membrane to the outside.
S-B SILICONE
Comparable to a barrier against water and chemicals: penetration of humidity not possible from either side.
POLYURETHANE COATING
Similar to a.m. silicone coating on PU basis;
PVC COATING
Comparable to a barrier against water and chemicals: penetration of humidity not possible from either side; PVC coating has no breathing properties.
WATER BASED COATING
Barrier coatings on knitted, woven and nonwoven fabrics with water based coating agents.
SOLVENT BASED COATING
Barrier coatings on knitted, woven and nonwoven fabrics with solvent based coating agents.
MEMBRANE LAMINATION
Protection against liquids; vapor can penetrate through the membrane: transparency; flexible up to a temperature of 95 C: resistant against oil; high flex resistance, high tensile strength and abrasion resistance.
